La Salle hands Ateneo its first and only loss this season

Nearly 14,000 people braved the monsterous ASEAN-related traffic on Sunday to witness DLSU tarnish Ateneo’s perfect record this season.

Ateneo was leading all throughout the close gam, until the fourth quarter when the Green Archers started inching their way to victory.

The Eagles opened the fourth quarter with its biggest lead at 12, which La Salle quickly trimmed to 4, 66-62 thanks to a 8-0 run.

A loose ball foul called against Ateneo with two minutes left cut their lead 76-71.

Ben MBala, who practically carried the Archers all through the game with his 18 rebounds, 5 steals, 5 blocks, and 28 points, cut it down further to a measly three.
