Cavs’ Love out 6-8 weeks with broken hand

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love sustained a non-displaced fracture in his left hand on Tuesday, the team announced during the game against the Detroit Pistons.

Multiple media outlets reported that Love would miss six to eight weeks.

Love hurt his fifth metacarpal during the first quarter. He played five scoreless minutes before exiting.

Entering the night, Love was averaging 18.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists through 47 games this season. He was due to play on Cleveland teammate LeBron James' squad in the upcoming All-Star Game. — Reuters
