Sage Tolentino gets recruitment offer from NCAA Division I school

Sage Tolentino is on the sights of another NCAA Division I basketball program.

In an Instagram post on Friday, the 16-year-old center shared that he was being recruited by the University of Kansas.

The Kansas Jayhawks won three NCAA championships and produced several NBA stars such as Wilt Chamberlain, Paul Pierce, and Joel Embiid.

"Blessed to receive an offer from Kansas. Thanks to Coach Self and Coach Townsend for believing in me. All glory to God!" Tolentino said.

The 7-foot prospect out of Hawaii was previously reported to be in talks with the University of Kentucky.

Auburn University is also said to be interested in Tolentino, who won two state championships with the Maryknoll Spartans.

The teen recently met fellow Filipino tower Kai Sotto, who also made waves in the NCAA recruitment circles before signing with the NBA G League. —MGP, GMA News
