Marc Pingris skips PBA bubble, June Mar Fajardo sends support to Clark contingent

Magnolia veteran Marc Pingris is skipping the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, "Pinoy Sakuragi" confirmed he will not play in the restart of the league's 45th season.

"Good luck guys! Sorry di makakasama kuya n'yo ngayon," he said. "Babawi ako next time promise 'yan!"

The 38-year-old forward did not disclose the reason for his absence.

Pingris is the second player from Magnolia who will be missed by the fans, as teammate PJ Simon earlier announced his retirement from basketball.

Meanwhile, reigning Most Valuable Player June Mar Fajardo sent his regards to the Clark contingent of the San Miguel Beer.

The center will also miss action as he is still recovering from the leg injury he sustained during practice back in February.

"Good luck guys sa Bubble! Di man ako makakasama sa inyo physically, pero in spirit andon ako," Fajardo said on Instagram.

"Sana walang mainjuries sa inyong lahat at no health issues sana di lang sa San Miguel Beermen kundi pati na rin sa ibang Teams at PBA Officials at sa lahat ng mga taong kasama sa loob ng Bubble," he added.

Aside from Pingris and Fajardo, league commissioner Willie Marcial on Tuesday said NLEX veteran Larry Fonacier opted not to join the bubble.

Marcial said the final team rosters will be released together with the schedule before the games start on October 11.
