Thirdy Ravena will be sidelined for three months after injuring his finger in San-En Neophoenix' game against SR Shibuya in the Japan B.League.

The team announced his estimated recovery period in an update on Friday.

On Instagram, Ravena also shared some news on his treatment and posted a photo of himself lying in a hospital bed.

"Happy to announce that my operation was a success! Thank you to the wonderful team of Dr. Nakao at Chunichi Hospital and my @neophoenix_official family. Be back soon," he said.

The former UAAP star, who suffered a metacarpal oblique fracture on his right fourth finger, will miss the All-Star Game on January 15 and 16.

He previously missed action after contracting the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in November.

Ravena became the first Asian import in the Japan Professional Basketball League after signing with the Neophoenix in June last year. —MGP, GMA News
