Did you know? Mahal starred in a film alongside basketball legends Patrimonio, Codiñera, Alvarez

Comedienne Noeme Tesorero, who was popularly known as Mahal, left a mark in the entertainment industry with her sense of humor and bubbly personality.

While she was famous for her height, Mahal also played roles in the big screen.

In one of her movies, Mahal even starred with Philippine basketball stars Alvin Patrimonio, Jerry Codiñera, and Paul Alvarez.

Back in 1989, Regal Films produced "Last Two Minutes," which was an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival.

"Last Two Minutes" tells the story of three tall guys from the province, played by Patrimonio, Codiñera, and Alvarez, who were recruited to be part of a basketball team despite their lack of skills.

In one of the scenes in the movie, the three players helped an old woman who was being abused and in return, the woman gave them a magic ball.

Mahal, who was also called by her nickname in the movie, played the human form of the magic ball which made the characters better in playing basketball.

It was just the start of Mahal's career in the movies as she went on to do other films such as "Oh My God... Anak ni Janice," "Small and Terrible" and "Pasukob."

Mahal passed away on Tuesday at the age of 46.

Her last television appearance was in "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho" which featured her visit to on-screen tandem Mura.
