Former teammates, future rivals send Dwight Ramos messages of support as he heads to Japan B.League

Members of the Philippine basketball community were jubilant upon learning the news that Dwight Ramos had decided to turn professional and play as an import in the Japan B.League.

The Gilas Pilipinas guard was confirmed to be playing for the Toyama Grouses in the upcoming season, where he will join a growing list of Filipino cagers set to show their wares overseas.

And in his first Instagram post since the big announcement, Ramos quickly garnered the support of his fellow cagers as he opened a new chapter in his young career.

Among those leaving messages on the post were his former teammates at Ateneo and several of the Filipino players whom he will be facing in the B.League once he makes the move.

Dave Ildefonso, who was tipped to play alongside Ramos in Ateneo, quipped: "Congrats big D. Guess there won’t be a Double D tandem for the blue & white anymore." Another Blue Eagle, Tyler Tio, also left well-wishes, saying "G luck, brodie!!!"

Thirdy Ravena and Kobe Paras, both of whom are set to play in the B.League, rallied behind Ramos.

Ravena, himself a former Ateneo star, said: "LET'S GO!!!" Paras, meanwhile, commented: "MAMA THERE GOES THAT MAN"

Other Japan-bound cagers like Ray Parks and Juan Gomez de Liaño along with Ramos' Gilas teammate Jordan Heading also posted their own comments in support of the 6-foot-4 baller.
