Blackwater to trade Tolomia to Alaska in exchange for Casio, Eboña

The Blackwater Bossing continues its rebuilding process as it pulled off another trade on Tuesday following the squad's winless campaign in the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup.

Bossing interim head coach Ariel Vanguardia confirmed to GMA News Online that the team is set to trade Mike Tolomia and a 2023 second-round draft pick to the Alaska Aces. In exchange, Blackwater will acquire JVee Casio and Barkley Eboña.

"I think it's a win-win for both teams," Vaguardia said in a short message. "But we're still waiting for the approval of the PBA."

According to the league's website, the trade has already been approved by the PBA Commissioner's office. Deputy commissioner Eric Castro also confirmed the approval.

The deal came just two weeks after Blackwater sent Simon Enciso to Terrafirma in exchange for Rashawn McCarthy following the team's last place finish in the conference at 0-11.
