Kiefer Ravena’s Shiga routs Kyoto to notch fourth straight B.League win

Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakestars cruised to a blowout win over the Kyoto Hannaryz, 95-72, in Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League) action on Sunday at the Kyoto City Gymnasium.

Shiga banked on a big second half run that saw them take leads of as high as 30 after leading by just one, 42-41, at the half.

Sean O’mara led Shiga with 22 points but he had plenty of help with four other Lakestars hitting double-figures in scoring.

That did not include their Filipino import Ravena, though, who finished with six points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Shiga, which has now won a fourth straight game, moved up to 5-1 while Kyoto dropped to 2-4. Shiga also defeated Kyoto in their first encounter on Saturday, escaping with an 84-83 win.

The Lakestars will next take on the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, who also have a Filipino import in Ray Parks, on October 23.
