SMB players Chris Ross, Terrence Romeo laud Coach Chot, TNT after semis series

It was a challenging 2021 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals series that ended in a 97-79 Game 7 win for TNT Tropang Giga on Sunday, but two members of the San Miguel Beermen took the time to show respect to their opponents on the winning side.

Hours after the game, Chris Ross took to social media his praises for the Tropang Giga and head coach Chot Reyes.

Respect to Coach Chot and his guys! We left it all on the floor but it wasn’t good enough to beat a great team. Thank you for all the support!

"Respect to Coach Chot and his guys! We left it all on the floor but it wasn’t good enough to beat a great team," Ross said in a tweet on Sunday.

Terrence Romeo, meanwhile, also praised TNT in an Instagram story.

"No [excuses], malakas talaga TNT ngayon. That team is good! Credits to Coach Chot for leading that team. Congratulations," he wrote, alongside his message to SMB fans.

The Beermen won Games 2, 4, and 6 of their semis series against TNT.

The Tropang Giga will face the Magnolia Hotshots Pambansang Manok in the best-of-seven finals series expected to start this week.
