Mac Tallo powers Manila to Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Invitational crown
The Manila HeiHei team led by Mac Tallo reigned supreme in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Invitational held on Wednesday in San Fernando, Pampanga.
Manila won over Pasig Kingpin, 21-6, in 5:19 minutes of play, with Tallo waxing hot from beyond the arc, making five shots en route to a 13-point output.
Zach Huang added five for the win, while Mike Nzeusseu and Chico Lanete had two points and one point each.
Toba Eugene led the Kingpin with three points.
Manila coach Aldin Ayo hopes the win will be a boost for their 2021 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters campaign in Abu Dhabi which will start on October 29.
"Happy that this tournament happened," Ayo said. "I hope that they got the confidence and the rhythm. It's important that we simulate the actual situations and we can't do that in practice."
Manila took home P100,000 while Pasig got a P50,000 prize from the tournament. Essen Immunoboost Sarangani settled for third to win P20,000.
