Ray Parks drops 23 on Mikawa as Nagoya bounces back

Bobby Ray Parks, Jr. registered a game-high 23 points in the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins' win over the Mikawa Seahorses, 101-75, in the Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League) on Sunday.

It was a wire-to-wire win for Nagoya, who waxed hot early in the game and limited Mikawa to just nine points in the opening period. The Dolphins had the upper hand at the end of the first half, 43-28.

Nagoya had their biggest lead at 26 at multiple points in the game, with the first one early in the third period off a Parks triple to give them the 54-28 lead. Minutes later, his teammate Taito Nakahigashi drilled another triple to give them a 57-31 advantage. It was already too much for Mikawa who were down 70-50 at the end of the third period.

Parks also grabbed seven rebounds and two assists on top of his scoring output. Scott Eatherton added 21 points on top of 14 boards for the win.

Jarrod Uthoff posted 24 points and eight rebounds to lead the Seahorses.

Mikawa took the first meeting between the two teams, 91-79, on Saturday before Nagoya evened the score in this one.

Nagoya will face the Shimane Susanoo Magic on December 4.
