Hester stars, Ramos clutch as Terrafirma survives Rain or Shine in OT

Antonio Hester and Aldrech Ramos conspired as Terrafirma scored a 112-106 overtime victory over Rain or Shine in the 2021 PBA Governors' Cup on Saturday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Hester finished with a whopping 40 points on 63-percent shooting from the field to go along with 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Ramos, meanwhile, had 12 markers, including a crucial shot that forced an overtime, to go along with seven boards and two dimes as Terrafirma improved to 1-1.

Juami Tiongson and veteran guard Alex Cabagnot were also instrumental, carving out 16 and 15 points, respectively.

The Dyip were down by a slim three points with 16 seconds left, 98-95, before the 33-year-old Ramos pulled up for a three-pointer to tie the game and bring it into an extra period.

Hester then took over in overtime. Down one, the American reinforcement nailed back-to-back baskets as part of Terrafirma's 8-0 run with only 10 ticks left in the clock, 112-104.

Javee Mocon would still convert another basket for Rain or Shine after that but time wasn't just on their side as the Dyip completed the victory.

Import Henry Walker posted a double-double of 25 markers for Rain or Shine to go along with 12 rebounds and five dimes while Rey Nambatac finished with 25 points, four rebounds, and one assist.
