Japan B.League to hold online event in lieu of scrapped All-Star festivities
The Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League) will stage an online fan event instead of the yearly All-Star weekend festivities which was recently canceled due to a COVID-19 surge in Japan.
The league announced that it will gather all players under the Asian Player Quota rule in an online event where they will answer questions from fans and members of the media.
Entitled "Meet B.LEAGUE - ASIA ALL-STAR Special Live", the event will take place on January 14, Friday, at 7 p.m. (6 p.m. in Manila) via Zoom.
Tipped to join the event are Filipino imports Bobby Ray Parks (Nagoya), Kiefer Ravena (Shiga), Thirdy Ravena (San-en), Dwight Ramos (Toyama), Kobe Paras (Niigata), Javi Gomez de Liano (Ibaraki), Kemark Carino (Aomori), and Juan Gomez De Liano (Earthfriends ).
Brandon Jawato (Utsunomiya), Weijia Wang (Akita), Jaemin Yang (Shinshu), Jin Liu (Nishinomiya), and Chih Wei Lin (Fukuoka) will also be present.
Only 10 fans each from the Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, China, and Taiwan are invited to the event which will be livestreamed on YouTube.
