Parks' Nagoya, Ramos' Toyama pick up B.League wins; Niigata, Ibaraki extend slumps

Ray Parks and Dwight Ramos both had tough showings but their respective clubs still picked up wins on Saturday in the Japan Professional Basketball League (B. League).

Parks' Nagoya mauled Levanga Hokkaido with a 30-point romp, 90-60, to bounce back from their previous loss to Shimane, whom they now share the fifth spot with a 19-8 slate.

The second-generation Filipino import suited up for almost 20 minutes but only produced one point alongside five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. It was Scott Eatherton who provided the spark for the Dolphins with 20 markers, eight rebounds, and four dishes.

Ramos, like Parks, saw similar struggles as he registered just five points, one rebound, one assist, and a steal in Toyama Grouses' 93-87 victory over the Seahorses Mikawa.

The Grouses remain at the bottom half of the team standings with an 11-8 card.

Meanwhile, another pair of Filipino imports and their clubs suffered losses on Saturday's offerings.

Kobe Paras went scoreless as Niigata Albirex BB fell prey to Matthew Aquino's Shinshu Brave Warriors, 76-64. The loss extended Niigata's woes as they now slid to 2-25.

Javi Gomez de Liaño, on the other hand, was a DNP (did not play) during the Ibaraki Robots'  close loss against the Hiroshima Dragonflies, 81-79, for a 5-22 win-loss record.

All four teams return to action on Sunday against the same opponents.
