Kobe Paras, Dwight Ramos pick up wins in B.League; Thirdy's San-En extends losing skid
The teams of Kobe Paras and Dwight Ramos picked up wins in Sunday's Japan B.League action.
Paras and his Niigata Albirex BB squad swept their weekend matches against the Ibaraki Robots after an 87-79 victory. The Filipino import listed nine points in the win, which improved their record to 4-27.
His teammate Rosco Allen scored 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, while Yuto Nomi dropped 20 points.
Meanwhile, Javi Gomez de Liaño's Ibaraki team dropped to 6-25, with the Filipino import not seeing action again in the game. Eric Jacobsen led the Robots with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
On the other hand, Ramos and his Toyama Grouses defeated the Hiroshima Dragonflies anew, 89-75, after their 85-68 victory on Saturday.
Ramos was limited to six points in the win, while his teammate Brice Johnson had a game-high 19 points. Joshua Smith added 18 points while Julian Mavunga had 16 markers for their 13th win this season.
Matthew Aquino's Shinshu Brave Warriors also repeated over Osaka Evessa, this time, with an 87-83 win. Aquino, however, was sidelined from the game.
Thirdy Ravena's San-En Neophoenix, meanwhile, continued to struggle as they lost to Kyoto Hannaryz, 79-62.
Ravena had 11 points and 4 rebounds in their fifth straight loss, which dropped them to 4-24.
In the B2, Kemark Cariño's team Aomori Wat's suffered another blowout loss to the Koshigaya Alphas, 67-38. The Filipino import was on the floor for only 1:34 minutes. The loss happened a day after they also suffered another defeat from the same team, 83-66, with Cariño being sidelined.
