Matthew Aquino included in Japan's Asian Games training pool
Matthew Aquino has once again made it to the national training pool of Japan, this time for the 2022 Asian Games in September.
The second generation baller was part of the Japanese Basketball Association's (JBA) 15-man pool where the players who will represent the country in the quadrennial event set to take place in Hangzhou, China will be chosen from.
This is Aquino's second time to be included in the national team pool after he was also tapped for the Japan national team's 24-man selection for the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian qualifiers.
The training camp will run from February 7 to 10 at the Ajinomoto National Training Center in Tokyo.
Aquino, a holder of Japanese passport and has a Japanese heritage through his mother, is currently playing as a local for the Shinshu Brave Warriors in Japan B. League.
