Alex Eala enters main draw of W25 Macon in France

Alex Eala cruised to the main draw stage of W25 Mancon in France after hurdling two matches in the qualifying round.

The Filipina teen tennis sensation first made quick work of hometown bet Helena Stevic, 6-0, 7-5, on Sunday where she only had one ace and committed five double faults.

In the following qualifying match on Monday, the 16-year-old netter defeated another local bet in Ines Nicault after fashioning out a 6-4, 6-3 victory to formally move on to the main draw this Wednesday.

Eala will next face Russian Anna Ukolova, WTA no. 696, in the Round of 32.

W25 Mancon has a prize money of $25,000 or more than P1.2 million.

Eala, who ranks no. 583 in WTA, was coming off a brief stint in the W60 Grenoble in France as well after she fell to Chloe Paquet, 6-4, 5-7, 3-6 in the Round of 16 just barely two weeks ago.
