Chooks-to-Go 3x3 heads to Serbia for training as brand inks global partnership with FIBA 3x3

The Chooks-to-Go 3x3 team is heading to Serbia next month as part of its preparations for a long 3x3 season.

The first team, composed of Mac Tallo, Zach Huang, Mike Nzeusseu, Brandon Ramirez, and Dennis Santos, is heading to one of basketball's powerhouse countries for a training camp set on April 1-15.

This is in preparation as Chooks-to-Go will organize at least three 3x3 events this year: the FIBA 3x3 Southeast Asia Super Quest (April 30-May 1), the Manila World Tour Masters (May 28-29), and the Cebu World Tour Masters (October 1-2). These three, on top of at least two World Tour Masters stops, with one in Japan this May.

"Next month, we will be sending our 3x3 pool to Serbia for a two-week training. They will be exposed to the best 3x3 players, Serbia being the number one 3x3 team in the world, Chooks-to-Go president Ronald Mascariñas said. "We will be participating in all FIBA-sanctioned international tournaments where we will be invited or where we will qualify to participate. The more international tournaments we participate in, the easier it will be for us to pile up points." The points Mascariñas is referring to is for the qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Aside from its preparations for the upcoming season, Chooks-to-Go also forged a five-year partnership with FIBA 3x3 which made the food brand a global partner for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour. Organizing the World Tour Masters in Manila and Cebu is part of Chooks-to-Go's partnership with FIBA 3x3.

“This is another step in a great collaboration, which saw Chooks-to-Go manage successful 3x3 competitions for the last couple of years. We can’t wait to host more events and grow the discipline in the Philippines, a country which has been so passionate about 3x3,” FIBA 3x3 managing director Alex Sanchez said in a statement.
