UST reigns supreme in UAAP men's 3x3, NU claims third straight women's title

The University of Santo Tomas turned back De La Salle University to claim the men's 3x3 basketball championship in UAAP Season 84 on Friday at the CaSoBe resort in Calatagan, Batangas.

The Growling Tigers won over the Green Archers, 21-20, as Sherwin Concepcion listed 12 points and was eventually named as Finals Most Valuable Player.

Prior to the finals, UST ousted University of the Philippines in the semis, 21-12, while La Salle defeated National University, 19-17.

In the women's side, NU claimed its third women's 3x3 crown after a 21-18 victory over UST in the Finals.

Camille Clarin listed eight points, while Tin Cayabyab added six points in the title clincher.

NU eliminated Ateneo, 21-20, in the semis, while UST defeated UP, 21-11.
