NLEX secures sixth seed with rout of NorthPort

The NLEX Road Warriors cruised to a 109-95 victory over NorthPort to cement its hold of the sixth spot ahead of the playoff round in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup on Friday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Big man Raul Soyud led the Road Warriors with a team-high 19 points on 90-percent shooting from the field to go along with six rebounds and one assist as NLEX wrapped up the elimination round at 6-5.

Calvin Oftana also played a key role, churning out 18 markers, eight boards, and three dimes while Philip Paniomogan and Anthony Semerad chimed in with 15 points each.

NorthPort, who had already been eliminated prior to the match, was led by rookie JM Calma who poured 21 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals as they slid to 3-8.
