Jordan Clarkson expected to arrive on August 19 for fourth FIBA window

Jordan Clarkson is expected to arrive on August 19 to join Gilas Pilipinas in its preparations for the upcoming fourth window of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers set later this month.

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) president Al Panlilio confirmed the development to GMA News Online on Saturday afternoon.

Clarkson was recently named to the Gilas pool where the final lineup for the August window will be picked. The Utah Jazz star joined the likes of the Thirdy and Kiefer Ravena, Dwight Ramos, Bobby Ray Parks, as well as youth standouts Carl Tamayo, Kevin Quiambao, and Francis Lopez.

Before Clarkson, Kai Sotto is also set to arrive from Australia on the 18th to bolster the Gilas frontcourt for the window.

The pool will be completed by several PBA stars, which the federation will announce once the ongoing 2022 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals is through.

Gilas will fly to Beirut on August 25 to face Lebanon before returning home to take on Saudi Arabia on the 29th at the MOA Arena.
