Marcos lauds Gilas Pilipinas over win against Saudi Arabia

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. lauded the Gilas Pilipinas for their victory against Saudi Arabia at the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers on Monday night.
Marcos watched the game and arrived during the third quarter. It was his first time to watch a national team live in the venue under his administration.
"Binabati natin ang Gilas Pilipinas sa kanilang panalo laban sa koponan ng Saudi Arabia sa naganap na FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers Game kagabi," Marcos said in a tweet on Tuesday.

"Kumpiyansa tayo na gagawin nila ang lahat ng kanilang makakaya para makapagdala ng karangalan sa bansa," he added.

The Philippine team defeated Saudi Arabia, with Jordan Clarkson tallying a total of 23 points, 17 points in the first half alone. Clarkson led the offensive for the national squad.
