Yeng Guiao returns to Rain or Shine after NLEX exit

It didn’t take long before Yeng Guiao found his next team following his sudden exit as the NLEX head coach.

The veteran tactician is set for a homecoming with Rain or Shine, whom he mentored in the past and led to championships in the PBA.

“Coach Yeng Guiao was the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters' Head Coach from 2011 to 2016. He led the team to 6 Finals appearances and 2 Championships; the 2012 Governor's Cup and the 2016 Commissioner's Cup,” the team said in a Facebook post.

“Now, he returns to coach a new generation of Elasto Painters. Only Gabe Norwood, Beau Belga, and Jewel Ponferrada remain from the ROS team Coach Yeng coached.”

The development came just days after Guiao and the Road Warriors agreed to part ways.
