Forthsky Padrigao registers career-high in Ateneo win against FEU; NU takes down UE

Forthsky Padrigao registered a career-high in Ateneo de Manila University's 79-70 win against Far Eastern University on Sunday to cap the opening weekend of UAAP Season 85 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Aside from Padrigao's career-high 19 points, the second year player gave an all-around performance with seven assists, six rebounds, and two steals. Dave Ildefonso and Ange Kouame also registered double-doubles with Ildefonso posting 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Kouame having 12 points and 14 rebounds.

LJ Gonzales had 19 points while Patrick Sleat added 17 in the Morayta-based squad's loss.

Earlier, National University defeated University of the East, 77-70, with John Lloyd Clemente leading the Bulldogs with 15 points.

UAAP action will return on Wednesday as all teams will play in the PhilSports Arena.
