Phoenix notches third straight, Wesson posts 23-13 in win over Meralco

The Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters notched their third straight win after defeating the Meralco Bolts, 89-82, in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Wednesday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

It was almost a wire-to-wire win for Phoenix, which led by 19, 82-63, early in the fourth period.

Phoenix import Kaleb Wesson posted 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Tyler Tio and Encho Serrano contributed 14 markers each.

Bong Quinto led the Bolts with 22 points while import Johnny O'Bryant was limited to seven points but grabbed 16 rebounds.

Phoenix, which improved to 3-3, will try to extend their winning streak when they face Rain or Shine on Wednesday next week, while Meralco which went down to 1-4, will also face the Elastopainters on Saturday.
