Converge waxes hot in TNT rout; Brownlee triple-double tows Ginebra past Terrafirma
The Converge FiberXers waxed hot from three-point territory to rout TNT Tropang Giga, 130-117, on Friday in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The FiberXers drilled in 21 triples, with Quincy Miller connecting on nine threes and Jeron Teng making four to extend their winning streak to three.
TNT, on the other hand, made only 12 from downtown, with Mikey Williams accounting for seven on his own.
Miller tallied 38 points on top of his 20 rebounds, while Teng added 22 points. Justin Arana registered a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards.
Meanwhile, Barangay Ginebra stalled the Terrafirma Dyip, 111-90, to notch back-to-back wins.
Justin Brownlee posted a triple-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists as Ginebra's standings improved to 4-2.
Converge will face Blackwater Bossing on Sunday, while TNT will try to bounce back against Phoenix on the same day. Ginebra, on the other hand, will play the San Miguel Beermen on November 6, while Terrafirma will try to notch their first win when they go against TNT on November 5.
