RJ Abarrientos, Ulsan outduel SJ Belangel's Daegu as Pinoy cagers face off in KBL

In their first official collision abroad, RJ Abarrientos emerged victorious over fellow Filipino import SJ Belangel as the Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus outdueled the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus, 81-71, in the 2022 Korean Basketball League on Friday night.

The 23-year-old Abarrientos scattered 17 points on 3-of-10 from beyond the arc and finished with three rebounds, three assists, and a steal to help Ulsan cruise to its third straight win in the regular season.

Ulsan improved to 4-1 while Daegu dropped to 1-4.

Belangel, though, put up a fight against Ulsan, scoring 13 points in just 19 minutes of action to go along with one rebound and one assist, but his efforts were not enough as his team absorbed its third loss in a row.

Daegu will look to regain its winning ways on Sunday when it faces Goyang Carrot Jumpers while Ulsan takes on Changwon LG Sakers on the same day.
