Pinoy coach Arcadia's RRQ Hoshi through to M4 World Championship upper bracket semis

JAKARTA — Filipino coach Michael "Arcadia" Bocado and RRQ Hoshi have secured an upper bracket semifinals berth after taking down Malaysia's Todak in a sweep, 3-0, in their playoff match in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M4 World Championship on Sunday in Jakarta, Indonesia.

With RRQ's win, both of the host country Indonesia's representatives remained in the upper bracket as Onic Esports also swept Falcon Esports of Myanmar on Saturday to arrange a semis date with Philippine bet Echo.

And it could be another Indonesia-Philippine clash in the other semis bracket as RRQ now awaits the winner between defending champion Blacklist International and RRQ Akira of Brazil, who will slug it out later at 6 p.m.

RRQ defeated Occupy Thrones in the group stage before falling to Echo. But the Indonesian powerhouse routed RSG Singapore to finish with a 2-1 card and a ticket to the upper bracket.
