Long-time Nexplay EVOS jungler John Paul "H2wo" Salonga has decided to move on from the team as he inked a deal to join RSG Slate Philippines in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 11.
Nexplay first announced H2wo's departure, which was then followed by RSG's welcome post for the 20-year-old star hours after.
H2wo's exit marked the end of an era for Nexplay's renowned Big 3 composed of Tristan "Yawi" Cabrera and Renejay "Renejay" Barcarse with the former now playing for Echo, which recently ruled the M4 world championship, while the latter previously joined Blacklist International for its Sibol national team qualifiers roster.
"You have been an inspiration to many, you have reached great heights of a successful gaming personality. Helping your family, friends and colleagues along the way and lifting them up," Nexplay said in a Facebook post.
"Now it's time for you to grow and expand again, find your new beginnings and may your journey with Nexplay be a springboard to lift you to new heights. It was an honor playing alongside humbleH2."
H2wo will join an RSG squad that ruled the MPL Season 9 and eventually won the MLBB Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) in June 2022. He is set to play alongside the core made up of Jonard Cedrix "Demonkite" Caranto and Dylan "Light" Catipon as they look to return on top after a third place finish in Season 10.
