Bernardino, Pontejos lead Gilas Women in FIBA Asia Cup 3x3 tilt

Afril Bernardino and Janine Pontejos returns to the big stage as the two veterans banner Gilas Pilipinas Women for the 2023 FIBA Asia Cup 3x3 slated for March 29 to April 2 in Singapore.

The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) bared the rosters on Monday with Khate Castillo and Clare Castro joining Bernardino and Pontejos in the three-a-side tournament.

The Filipina cagers are bunched with China and Iran in Pool A, facing the former on April 1 at 2:50 p.m. and the latter at 6:15 p.m. (both in Philippine time).

Meanwhile, PBA 3x3 stars headline the men's team with scoring machine Almond Vosotros of TNT alongside his teammate Samboy De Leon leading the crew.

Completing the four-man squad are Jorey Napoles and Brandon Bates, who played for Cavitex Braves and Platinum Karaoke, respectively.

They will first face Qatar on March 31 at 8:45 p.m.
