Christian Standhardinger continues to lead BPC race ahead of Ginebra-TNT Finals clash
Barangay Ginebra big man Christian Standhardinger remained in the lead of the Best Player of the Conference race ahead of the Gin Kings' best-of-seven finals series against TNT in the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup.
The Filipino-German bruiser currently has 44.2 statistical points to lead the pack based on the latest statistics released by the league while San Miguel star CJ Perez comes in second with 38.3 SPs.
The 6-foot-8 Standhardinger, who averages 23.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 5.8 assists, was previously at 42.8 SPs after the elimination round while Perez had 39.3 SPs.
Two more Ginebra players in Jamie Malonzo and Scottie Thompson are among the pursuers of the plum with the former garnering 34.7 SPs at third spot while the latter has 34.3 SPs for fifth spot. Thompson was also the BPC of the previous Commissioner's Cup.
RR Pogoy of the Tropang Giga is at fourth spot with 34.7 SPs.
Meanwhile, TNT reinforcement Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Ginebra's Justin Bronwlee lead the Best Import race with the former occupying the top spot with 57.1 SPs while the latter is at second with 52.5 SPs.
