PBA slaps P50k fine on Salado, Suerte, Ular for 'ligang labas' stints

The Philippine Basketball Association on Tuesday slapped fines worth P50,000 each to NorthPort's Kent Salado, and Blackwater's Rey Suerte and Ato Ular for joining unsanctioned basketball games.

The three players had stints in an unsanctioned game in Davao City without asking permission from the league or their mother clubs.

Rain or Shine also fined Jhonard Clarito two days worth of salary for playing in an unsanctioned exhibition game.

This came a week after 10 players were also slapped with fines due to their respective 'ligang labas' stints.

Among those who were slapped with a hefty fine were Rain or Shine's Beau Belga and NLEX's JR Quinahan.

NLEX on Saturday announced the termination of Quiñahan's contract.
