Rhenz Abando relishes KBL championship: 'Work hard until you are proud'
As Rhenz Abando got another ring in his basketball career, the Filipino import of Anyang KGC in the Korean Basketball League reminded himself: Work hard until you are proud.
Abando relished getting his newest chip in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
"From setting goals to working hard and finally reaching them. The ride is never easy, but it shaped me into the Champion I envisioned myself to be," he wrote in the caption of his post.
Abando also looked back on his journey to becoming a champion.
"Made my way up to this season as a Champion despite all the ups and downs, reminding myself to work hard until you are proud."
The former NCAA Most Valuable Player and his Anyang KGC squad dethroned erstwhile defending champions Seoul SK, 100-97, in Game 7 of their finals series on Sunday.
