Dwight Ramos signs new contract with Levanga Hokkaido

Filipino-American import Dwight Ramos is staying in Japan as he agreed to a new contract with Levanga Hokkaido for the 2023-2024 season of the B. League.

The team announced Ramos' signing on Tuesday.

"Ramos played an active role in leading the team to victory last season, which was his first year with the team, with his scoring ability, rebounds, and steals that could break through the situation on an individual basis," said Levanga CEO Yo Yokota on the team's website.

"In the new season, which will be his second year at Levanga Hokkaido, he will deepen his understanding of the team's basketball and be more fit than last season. I hope."

Ramos is set to play his second year with Hokkaido and third overall year in B. League after suiting up for the Toyama Grouses during the 2021-2022 season.

In a separate post, the Gilas Pilipinas star said he's looking forward to another season with the team after learning a lot from their previous campaign.

"My 2nd year as a pro has taught me lessons on and off the court and came with a lot of challenges," the 24-year-old baller said.

"As the next season approaches, I’m excited to announce that I'm signing with Levanga Hokkaido for the next year.  Excited to get back with my guys!"
