Balanza delivers game-winner as Converge escapes San Miguel in OT; Camson powers Terrafirma past Meralco

Jerrick Balanza delivered the game-winner for the Converge FiberXers as it escaped the San Miguel Beermen in overtime, 113-111, on Sunday in the PBA On Tour at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The game was tied at 111 after an Alec Stockton triple with 20 seconds left in extra period. With the clock winding down, Balanza then made a layup which handed the win to Converge as Allyn Bulanadi's three-point shot did not connect for the Beermen.

San Miguel was leading by 16 at one point in the third period, 57-41, before Converge took the lead early in the fourth quarter.

The FiberXers had the upper hand, 99-96, with 42 seconds left in regulation then Jericho Cruz delivered the game-tying trey at the 00:23 mark which forced overtime.

Stockton posted 23 points, nine assists, and two rebounds in the FiberXers' second win in five games. Kevin Racal registered 16 points and 10 rebounds, Balanza had 15 points, while Justin Arana and Mike Nieto chipped in 13 points apiece.

The win spoiled Cruz' 41-point explosion as the Beermen went down to 2-4.

Camson also grabbed nine rebounds and had two assists, while Juami Tiongson had 21 points in the Dyip's second straight win which improved their record to 3-3.
