Ginebra beats San Miguel for PBA 3x3 Leg 1 crown

Barangay Ginebra emerged victorious against San Miguel in overtime, 19-17, to win Leg 1 of PBA 3x3 First Conference Season 3 on Tuesday at the Ayala Mall Manila Bay.

Donald Gumaru drilled the game-winning point to finish with eight markers as Ginebra bagged a total of P100,000 prize money.

Former NCAA star Kim Aurin posted an all-around outing of five points, five rebounds, and five assists, including the setup for Gumaru in the final play.

Ralph Cu and Raphael Salcedo chipped in four and two points, respectively, for the Kings.

En route to the finals, Ginebra defeated Terrafirma in the semifinals, 17-13, while escaping Pioneer in the quarterfinals. The Kings finished the eliminations with a clean 3-0 win-loss slate.

Meanwhile, Cavitex finished with bronze place following a 21-15 victory against the Dyip in the battle for third.
