Jack Animam signs with Wuhan Shengfan in Chinese pro league

Filipina baller Jack Animam is opening a new chapter in her career as she inked a deal with Wuhan Shengfan in the Women's Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA).

Animam confirmed this to GMA Integrated News and said she is set to join the ballclub sometime in September before the league proper kicks off in late October.

But before she takes her talents to China, the 24-year-old center will first banner the country in the upcoming William Jones Cup in Taiwan from August 5 to 9 alongside other veterans Afril Bernardino, Janine Pontejos, and Andrea Tongco.

Wuhan Shengfan is Animam's fourth overseas team and third country as she previously suited up as import for Radnicki Kragujevac in Serbia as well as Toulouse Metropole Basket and USO Mondeville Basket in France.

In the recent FIBA Women's Asia Cup, the former National University standout posted averages of 10 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 0.6 assists as the Philippines finished sixth.
