Scottie Thompson graduates from college with special award from Perpetual
Gilas Pilipinas player and former NCAA Most Valuable Player Scottie Thompson achieved another feat as he graduated from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA with a business degree.
UPHSD posted on its social media accounts photos of the reigning PBA MVP during the school's graduation rites on Wednesday.
According to the post, Thompson was also awarded the Dr/BGen Antonio Laperal Tamayo Leadership Plaque for Sports and Athletics during the commencement exercises.
During his collegiate career, Thompson and the ALTAs clinched a Final Four spot thrice (2012-14). He became an NCAA MVP back in 2014, was part of the Mythical Team thrice (2012, 2014, 2015), and was also named as the league's Most Improved Player in 2012.
The university retired Thompson's jersey number 6 back in February.
