Wilcon Depot sees bright future ahead in PBA 3x3
For Wilcon Depot 3x3, their first conference in the PBA 3x3 is just the start of the future ahead of them.
In the recently held grand finals of the PBA 3x3 Season 3 first conference, the newcomers made it to the quarterfinals before being dispatched by Barangay Ginebra, 18-14.
Head coach Anton Altamirano said they have come a long way despite their short preparation time before coming to the league.
“Considering that we only had two weeks to prepare for everything, we’re still happy with how we fought,” he said.
Aside from a quarterfinals finish in the first conference's grand finals, the team also had two semifinals appearances and a third place finish in Leg 6.
“We’re just getting started,” the Wilcon coach added. “We’re seeing now how cohesive we can be and the players are getting their rhythm back. So there’s no question that the future is still bright for this group and we can’t wait to prepare for the next conference where we’ll have more than enough time to prepare.”
The team is composed of Louie Vigil, Yutien Andrada, TH Tumalip, and Keith Datu.
