Jordan Clarkson inks deal with ANTA for FIBA World Cup

Gilas Pilipinas and NBA star Jordan Clarkson will be exclusively wearing ANTA footwear for the upcoming 2023 FIBA World Cup.

The sportswear brand announced the partnership on Sunday.

"Gilas Pilipinas star Jordan Clarkson and ANTA Group Philippines formalized an agreement yesterday at Bonifacio Global City that will see the Utah Jazz forward exclusively wear ANTA footwear in all their FIBA World Cup games. The contract was signed by the Utah Jazz forward, ANTA Group Philippines General Manager JP Paglinawan, and ANTA Group Philippines Marketing Manager Mikko Abello," ANTA said in a statement.

The brand said the possibility of Clarkson wearing ANTA in the upcoming NBA season "is currently being discussed."

“The FIBA World Cup is arguably one of the top basketball tournaments in the world. To have one of the top players in the world showcase ANTA at the highest level of competition reinforces our confidence that our brand produces the best basketball product in the market right now,” said JP Paglinawan, ANTA Group Philippines general manager.

Clarkson and the rest of the Gilas squad will open their campaign in the 2023 FIBA World Cup on Friday against the Dominican Republic at the Philippine Arena, to be followed by games against Angola on August 27 and against Italy on August 29 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
