Greece downs Rondae Hollis-Jefferson's Jordan in FIBA World Cup campaign opener

Greece took down PBA import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and his Jordan squad, 92-71 , to open their 2023 FIBA World Cup campaign on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
After ending the third period at 66-60, the Greeks pounded in the final frame as they limited Jordan to just 11 points against their 26-point romp.
Giannoulis Larentzakis led the Hellas with 19 points, while Ioannis Papapetrou and Thomas Walkup had 13 points apiece.
Hollis-Jefferson registered a game-high 24 points on top of nine rebounds and three assists in the Jordan loss.

The Greek squad will next face Team USA on Monday, August 28.
