AFTER TWO WINS

Jalen Brunson says USA still learning in FIBA World Cup

The learning process continues for Team USA.

This, despite winning their first two games in the 2023 FIBA World Cup against New Zealand and Greece.

On Monday, the Americans dismantled the Greek squad, 109-81, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

"For us, we're still getting better," said Jalen Brunson in a press conference.

"We're still gonna tweak a couple of things so we can be a better team. We're learning, now after wins, better than after losses, so I'm going to continue to do that."

Part of the learning process is how to perform at their best in every possession as USA head coach Steve Kerr said that teams are tough in the tourney.

However, it all starts with the effort the players give on the court, just like what they did against Greece.

"Our thought process every game is to wear the opponent down. We're 12-deep in our roster. We're just trying to stay solid on every possession and really put pressure on every opponent," said Kerr.

"We needed to do that tonight because Greece played very well."

The United States will face Jordan in their last first round match on Wednesday.
