Rip Hamilton relishes 'amazing' Manila visit
Former NBA player Rip Hamilton visited Manila early this month for a series of events for NBA Philippines' 'Republika ng NBA' month, which included the NBA 3X Philippines Invitational.
For Hamilton, his visit to Manila was memorable.
"My time here in Manila has been absolutely amazing," he said on December 10 during the invitational, which Mongolian teams Ulaanbaatar Energy and Ulaanbaatar Amazons won.
The NBA champion also visited Game 3 of the UAAP Season 86 Finals between De La Salle University and University of the Philippines which the former won.
"When I went to that collegiate game, I got chills in my body because as a fan of the game, I gotta play the game. When you walk to an arena like that, see all the passionate fans in it and cheering for their teams, I feel like playing again," he said.
The day before the Invitational, Hamilton also interacted with several members of the press, including NCAA broadcast panel members Martin Javier, Anton Roxas, and Baileys Acot.
