Banh Mi Kitchen rules Thai 3x3 tilt, Uratex Dream makes QF finish


Banh Mi Kitcher 3x3 Tumalip Vigil Andrada and Gonzaga

Banh Mi Kitchen of the Philippines ruled the 3x3 Basketball Thailand International League 2024, while Uratex Dream made a quarterfinals finish in the said tourney.

Banh Mi Kitchen, composed of Tonino Gonzaga, Louie Vigil, TH Tumalip, and Yutien Andrada defeated USA's New Force, 21-15, in the finals on Sunday.

As Banh Mi Kitchen completed the tournament sweep, the men's team also claimed a slot in the Hongcheon Challenger in South Korea in May, which serves as a qualifier for the 2024 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Chengdu Masters in June.

Meanwhile, the women's team Uratex Dream fell short against eventual champions Dusseldorf ZOOS, 13-8, in the quarterfinals on Friday.

The squad finished fourth in Pool B of the tournament but defeated Singapore's Jumpshot, 21-12, in the wildcard round to enter the quarters.

The team is composed of Gilas Pilipinas Women standout Kaye Pingol, Sam Harada, Shanda Anies, and Renzhu Li.
