PBA: Barangay Ginebra dominates Magnolia to secure semis spot

Barangay Ginebra dominated Magnolia, 99-77, in the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium to advance to the conference semifinals.

Twice-to-beat Ginebra dominated early on as it allowed Magnolia to lead only at 5-2 before the former took control of the game until the final buzzer.

Christian Standhardinger registered a double-double of 36 points and 11 rebounds on top of five assists to lead Ginebra, while Scottie Thompson had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and a career-high seven steals.

Mark Barroca and Aris Dioniso were the only double-digit scorers for the Hotshots with 19 points and 10 points, respectively.

Barangay Ginebra will wait for the winner of the quarterfinals series between Meralco and NLEX.
