Alonzo Mourning joins Bam Adebayo, Will Smith days after being 'cancer-free'

Former player and Miami Heat executive Alonzo Mourning recently joined Bam Adebayo and actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, just days after Mourning said he was 'cancer-free.'

Mourning posted a photo of them on June 7 as they joined the activities for the movie 'Bad Boys.'

The event also came just days after the Heat Vice President of Player Programs and Development revealed the latest development on his health.

"Recently, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 prostate cancer, and I am extremely grateful to say that I am now cancer-free," Mourning wrote in the caption of his photo on the hospital bed posted on June 4.

"My journey to recovery has been tough, but I am thankful for the support of my loved ones and the amazing medical team that helped me through it all."

He also reminded men to also prioritize health.

"Men, we have to remember that early detection is key, so make sure to prioritize your health and get regular checkups. Let’s continue to prioritize our health and well-being, and embrace a future filled with good health and happiness!"

Mourning professionally played from 1992 to 2008, his last stint being with the Heat from 2005 to 2008.
