USA celebrates winning Olympic gold vs France

The United States won its fifth straight gold medal in men's basketball as it defeated France in the finals, 98-87, at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday (Philippine time).

Stephen Curry posted 24 points as he drilled eight triples en route to his first Olympic medal. LeBron James registered 14 points, 10 assists, six rebounds, and two steals to claim his third Olympic gold and fourth medal overall as he also had a bronze in Athens.

Victor Wembanyama had 26 points as France settled for silver.

The United States has won the gold medal in five editions of the Olympics since 2008.
