PBA: Japeth Aguilar, Barangay Ginebra keep Phoenix winless

Japeth Aguilar and Barangay Ginebra defeated Phoenix, 110-101, to keep the Fuel Masters winless in the PBA Governors' Cup on Friday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

Aguilar put up 31 points, four rebounds, two assists, and a steal as Barangay Ginebra kept Phoenix at bay despite the latter's comeback attempt.

Phoenix was within seven, 105-98, after Javee Mocon's layup at the 3:28 mark of the final frame. RJ Abarrientos sank a triple to give Ginebra a double-digit lead anew before Aguilar's jumper sealed the victory.

Justine Brownlee put up a triple-double of 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, along with a steal as Ginebra improved to 3-2 in Group A.

The win spoiled Brandone Francis' 33-point outburst for Phoenix which remained winless in five games.
