CAMANAVA's Doc Boleros rule NBTC North Luzon Regionals anew

CAMANAVA representative EZ Jersey-Doc Boleros ruled anew the NBTC North Luzon Regional Championship after defeating Luid Kapampangan, 87-72, Sunday in the Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija.

Kenneth Avila led Doc Boleros with11 points, six rebounds, three blocks, and two assists to be named as the Regional Most Oustanding Player, while Bobet Monterozo scored nine of his 13 points in the first quarter as they pulled away early to take a 28-14 lead.

Ace Baldomero and Richmond Montejo chipped in 11 points apiece as the CAMANAVA champions went undefeated in seven games in the four-day competition.

Nikko Tipino registered 17 points and four rebounds for Luid Kapampangan, while Mythical Team member Alexis Riño got 15 points, six assists, and five boards.

The two teams will be part of the 2025 NBTC National Finals as the North Luzon representatives.

Meanwhile, DPR Aviation College and i-Achievers Modern College of Nueva Ecija booked tickets to the Nationals through the Regional Wildcard.

The NBTC National Finals is expected to be held late March at the Mall of Asia Arena.
